Mikko picked up an original Sega keyboard for his Saturn. Also got some Nintendo comic books, one of them had this interesting News - article in #2 of 1993 (scans later) :
"SONY PLAY STATION DEAD?
When Nintendo's first project to design a CD-ROM drive in co-operation with Sony dried up, Sony announced they'd make and market  a product called Sony Play Station by themselves. This device is still nowhere to be found. Rumours tell that the whole project has been quietly buried and Sony tries to hide the remains. This is understandable, since Sony has had bad experience with devices without software support (like the Betamax), and game developers probably wouldn't be too enthusiastic to make games for a machine that doesn't have the support of Nintendo. Furthermore, Nintendo's own CD-ROM will be a superior competitor."

The page also has a 'preliminary design' picture of the CD/XA-drive.
