Wheeeee! 2003 / Peijaiset 2.0 /
Vammala Party IX The party place will have table space for about 30 people and feature toilets, a kitchen with fridge and microwave oven, sauna & showers. Please take your own food, drinks, stuff you need for eating (forks, spoons, knives, plates) and sleeping equipment (mattress, sleeping bag etc.). There is a store located about 1,5 km from the party place. Of course we'll have a video projector and a sound system present. DJ Roz is performing at some point. Party place

Pelikonepeijoonit will be showing off parts of their video game collection at the event. If there is a game or machine you'd like to see or play, please email your request to manu@pelikonepeijoonit.net. The order of competitions here state their priority in terms of prizes - which will not be earth-shattering in any case, as we're sure you knew. You can submit entries for the compos via the party network or on diskette. More information on the network will be posted on the mailing list. Demo competition The demo must run on some sort of computer or video game hardware, i.e. videos or theatre pieces are not allowed :) Platform and method of execution are free, but you must supply the hardware to run the demo. Systems should have VGA or composite video output. Emulators can also be used if you so wish: all emulators will be run on the same PC, most likely a late-model laptop. Music competition The only acceptable format will be 4-channel modules. ProTracker preferable, but you can also use FastTracker if you want to be really lame. .MODs will be played on an Amiga with HippoPlayer, .XMs on a PC of some sort. The file size limit is 800 kB. Graphics competition Only 256-color IFFs (ILBMs) allowed. Resolution 320x200 or 320x256. Pictures will be shown on a PAL AGA Amiga in low res (320x256) 256 colour mode. File size should not be a problem. Game competitions There will be at least 4 different game competitions - classic (Atari 2600 - NES), neo-classic (MegaDrive - Saturn), modern (PS2 - Xbox) and crappy game (any system). Each will have a tournament ladder system, with contestants eliminated until we have one winner. Wild competition You can enter with anything. And we mean it. Just clean up after yourself. Nerd sports triathlon Three events - disk throwing, disk drive throwing and hard drive shot put. All three events will be scored and the highest scoring competitor will of course win the whole deal. |
